Our Journey
MotoSpeed was founded with the goal of delivering market-leading components to racing drivers. With over 50 years of experience, a 1000 m² warehouse in Västerås, and thousands of satisfied customers, we are now Sweden's leading provider of motorsport accessories and performance parts – for both two- and four-wheeled vehicles.
1970
Thomas Klarkner starts a motorcycle tuning workshop in Västerås.
1970
MotoSpeed becomes customer #1 for Vance&Hines when Terry and Byron launch their brand in the US.
1979–1988
Thomas Klarkner secures 10 consecutive national championships in Pro Stock Bike.
1997
The physical store closes and the focus shifts entirely to performance parts distribution.
2005
The company surpasses 30 MSEK in turnover.
2024
Christian Klarkner breaks the lap record for body cars at Mantorp Park – MotoSpeed firmly enters the car performance scene.
2025
Launch of new e-commerce and strategic growth plan aimed at reaching 100 MSEK begins.
